The Story Behind the Drive of Rubal Sabharwal

A conversation with Rubal Sabharwal, founder of Arivu, whose work explores the evolving space between human intelligence and artificial intelligence. She shares her perspective on purposeful innovation, conscious leadership, and building a future where technology amplifies, not replaces, humanity.

About Arivu

Agentic AI consulting startup helping businesses transform workflows through human–AI collaboration and intelligent automation.

What inspired you to start Arivu, and what problem were you hoping to solve?

Arivu is born out my desire to bridge the gap between human intelligence & artificial intelligence. I wanted AI to be partners to human not competing with them for work /jobs. While many systems exist for AI, Arivu exists to design a purposeful and adaptive AI ecosystem for Humans.

How has your journey with Arivu changed you personally and professionally?

From an extreme strategist and planner, i became a believer. It taught me patience in the uncertainty in vision, letting go of expectations with changing priorities as we faced many challenges with complicated developments. The Journey pushed me to go beyond in my storytelling, mentoring and system thinking. Arivu transformed us by adding clarity, curiosity & courage. Courage to go wrong as well.

What's something unique about the way Arivu operates that you think more people should know?

We believe in agentic collaboration with Human intelligence. we don't force agentic AI in solution till its required to solve it. We architect solutions for best outcomes. Our framework blends behavioural science, work design and AI modelling for business efficiency. Our goal is to provide scalable and effective solutions. Our Uniqueness is how our AI works with humans in a seamless fashion.

Rubal, can you share a memorable story about your journey of building Arivu or any interesting story that shaped you?

Arivu changed my philosophy of how i mentored my own teams, the way i guided them throughout my life. I will always ask my teams for a deep business plan with ROI & then implement the tech as needed person. While building Arivu, i changed from business first to human first. A strong strategist who would look for best area to strike first, i started looking best area to support human first. I realized AI after all also has come out of human intelligence.

What are some achievements, milestones, or proud moments you've experienced with Arivu that you'd love people to know about?

One of our client / a global firm, reduced its decision making time by 70% and its not by replacing team, its by supporting teams for faster decisions. Our latest launch on "talentflo" was a testimony that we can redesign business and its purpose by enabling leadership, delivery teams with well articulated business intelligence

What's one challenge you've faced as a business owner, and how did it shape your outlook on leadership or growth?

I needed to learn to slow down and its completely anti my nature, If you ask my co founder, he can explain you that what kind of impact the slow progress has on me. I simply can not afford to go slow and sometimes with no results. But in this innovative journey, where clarity was an outcome of multiple failures. the slowness was mandatorily existing.

Outside of work, what's one hobby or passion that keeps you grounded or help you in anyway?

Reflective Journaling, reading and kathak. So practicing kathak reconnected me to my emotions beyond logic where as journalling helped write down my chaos in words so as i can collect my pieces together next day and never loose hope on my dreams.

Rubal, do you have a favorite book, movie, or quote that reflects your values or entrepreneurial mindset?

My favourite line is " What you seek is seeking you? from RUMI. your purpose and opportunity are not two different paths. It keeps me grounded to think that every uncertainty is my chance for alignment and every challenge is pathway to evolve. From a book recommendation perspective “The Fifth Discipline” by Peter Senge for timeless insights on system thinking and collective intelligence. Both are the core of Arivu's philosophy

Who has been your biggest influence or role model in business or life, and why?

My mother and my son have been my greatest influences. Mumma taught me responsibility and resilience, to stay grounded, to hold my center when life tested me. My son, on the other hand, taught me the flight of my dreams,to soar fearlessly, to believe in possibility. Mumma keeps my checks in place, and my son gives me wings. Together, they’ve shaped both my strength and my spirit as a leader and a dreamer.

Looking ahead, what's your dream vision for Arivu in the next 5 years?

Without a doubt, I want us to be leading world's AI ecosystem for Agentic transformation of business. I envision us to build bridges between human & AI to make strategy, systems, tech & human all in work together. beyond business success, I personally want Arivu to demonstrate ethical intelligence to the world.
